Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Cook specializing in Hakka Cuisine to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Indo-Chinese/Hakka dishes, kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintaining high food quality standards in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook authentic Hakka dishes including noodles, fried rice, Manchurian, chili chicken, soups, and specialty sauces
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are maintained
• Assist in menu planning and recipe development
• Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering kitchen supplies
• Work efficiently during busy service hours
• Train and support junior kitchen staff when required

Requirements
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience cooking Hakka or Indo-Chinese cuisine
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and food safety practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with good communication skills
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in Canadian restaurant kitchens
• Food Handler Certification
• Ability to prepare both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Hakka dishes
