Full time Temp to hire
Monday thru Friday 8am to 4:30pm + Overtime
$20hr to $25hr depending on experience.

A leading truck body manufacturer with over 50 years of history in the San Fernando Valley, with operations in Arizona and a new facility in Los Angeles, is seeking a talented individual to work as a MIG Welder in their Sun Valley location.

Summary: Perform duties in the assembly line related to all elements of steel fabrication and welding. Duties primarily involve welding processes but also include operating basic hand tools, component assembly of electrical and/or hydraulic components, operating metal fabrication equipment including drills, and grinders that are associated with structural steel fabrication.

Responsibilities:
• Perform welding operations using several welding processes including SMAW and GMAW.
• Operate Basic Hand Tools and Powered Hand Tools. i.e., Drills, Disc Grinders etc.
• Operate equipment as described in company procedures.
• Use Cutting Torches, Drills, Grinders, Material Handling Equipment.
• Perform work safely and follow established work procedures.
• Perform Housekeeping Duties.
• To not abuse equipment and report equipment that requires servicing or repair.
• Perform General Tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
• Accurately complete assembly sheets.
• Support the Quality and Safety programs.

Qualifications:
• Technical Training in the Welding Trade with a minimum of 6 months experience.
• Able to work 50 hours a week
• CW Certification in several welding processes is a plus but not required.
• Ability to interpret shop drawings.
• Basic knowledge of structural steel shapes, sizes, and grades.
• Basic reading and writing skills.
• Knowledge and respect of shop safety.
• Able to perform physically demanding work.
• Ability to communicate orally.
• Ability to work in cold environments.
