Job Description:
We are seeking experienced TIG/MIG Welders to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding techniques, responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal components (steel, stainless steel, aluminum) according to technical blueprints.
Job Location: Elk Grove Village, IL 60007

Shift: 1st (6:00 a.m-2:30 p.m/Monday-Friday)
Pay Range: $21-$25 (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
• Welding Execution: Perform high-quality TIG and MIG welding on various metals (steel, stainless, aluminum) in accordance with specifications.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read, interpret, and follow complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols to plan layout and procedures.
• Equipment Setup: Set up, maintain, and operate welding machines, including selecting proper wire, gas ratios, and voltage settings.
• Metal Fabrication: Cut, grind, and prep metal surfaces using plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches, and grinders.
• Quality Inspection: Visually inspect finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards, structural integrity, and tolerance requirements.
• Safety Adherence: Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean work area.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions or welding defects (porosity, cracking).

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Must have 3 years of MIG/TIG welding experience
• Must be authorized to work in the United States, must pass a BG check, and must pass a drug test.
• Must be reliable!
• Must pass the welding test during the interview
