Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Plumber Level I to join our Service Experts HVAC and Plumbing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of plumbing duties, including installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations, excellent problem-solving abilities, and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities:
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters.
• Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify and diagnose issues or defects.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan plumbing system layouts and installations.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to discuss project requirements and timelines.
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for plumbing projects.
• Carry out installations and repairs of plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipes using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Clean up job sites and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
• Weld, solder, or join pipes using approved methods.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide effective solutions.
• Adhere to plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior plumbers and helpers.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure plumbing materials and equipment.

Health & Safety Roles & Responsibilities:
• Reports any unsafe acts, conditions and hazards to direct supervisor/manager immediately
• Reports any contravention of legislation or company policy, procedure or program to direct supervisor/manager immediately
• Corrects substandard acts or conditions within area of control
• Uses and maintains appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s)
• Never removes or renders ineffective any safety guards, devices, or clothing prescribed to be in place or worn
• Complies with the general rules as prescribed by company program(s) procedure(s)
• Operates devises or equipment as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s)
• Participates in any safety initiatives, teams, or committees
• Reports all injuries or incidents as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) immediately
• Provides input on developing safety initiatives and plans to eliminate exposures that could cause accidents

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Plumber Helper or Apprentice or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Valid plumbing license/certification is preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Working Conditions:
• This position involves physical labor and may require working in confined spaces or at heights.
• Work may be performed indoors or outdoors, depending on the project.
• Exposure to various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity.
• May be required to work in hazardous environments or with potentially dangerous materials.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
