Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Service Plumber to join the fast-growing team. This person is responsible for installing and repairing water systems in commercial customer buildings. Duties include performing routine maintenance of plumbing systems, responding to call, and installing plumbing systems. Other general tasks include measuring, cutting, bending pipe material and installing and maintaining water systems.

Job Responsibilities
• Perform routine maintenance of plumbing systems in commercial buildings
• Respond to plumbing calls from our general contracting team
• Install plumbing systems in new construction and rehab properties
• Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs
• Inform personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions and taking appropriate action
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, vacuum pump, recovery unit, test equipment utilized in the trade and a motor vehicle
• Maintain equipment and vehicle in effective and safe working condition
• Install and maintain water supply systems
• Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
• Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc.
• Participate in meetings and training as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions
• Prepare written materials for the purpose of documenting activities and/or conveying information
• Respond to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety or health concerns
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of equipment
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Accountabilities
• Independently install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems
• Continue developing technical skills and industry knowledge
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex plumbing issues
• Mentor and support junior plumbers and apprentices
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and plumbing codes

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

This position reports to the local Service Manager and has a responsibility to all of our customers.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
• 3-5+ years of experience in commercial and industrial plumbing
• Strong knowledge of common plumbing terminology, fittings, materials, pipes, tools, & equipment
• Able to diagnose and repair electric and gas water heaters
• Valid Driver License w/acceptable driving record
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• In-depth knowledge of maintenance and repairs of plumbing systems
• Familiarity with manual and electrical tools and equipment applicable to the plumbing trade
• Familiar with Health and Safety regulations
• Knowledge of proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies
• Understanding of the current regulations within the field

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
