Job Overview:

The role of the Order Picker/Packer involves carrying out various warehouse system activities to maintain accurate documentation of inbound and outbound goods. The Clerk is responsible for overseeing the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources, and providing proper dock management. Additionally, the Clerk must communicate effectively with warehouse management, other departments, and business partners while accurately maintaining logs, records, and reports.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Warehouse systems can effectively process a range of inbound and outbound loads, including Stock Transport Orders, purchase orders, customer shipments, and deposit loads, to improve inventory management efforts
• A crucial aspect of effective warehouse management is the timely review, modification, and finalization of reports that pertain to inbound/outbound logistics, dock maintenance, product availability, and yard upkeep
• Cooperates with warehouse management, various departments, and external associates to foster efficiency, validate the accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments, administer appointment scheduling, and allocate available resources
• Provides clear, concise, and timely reports to management as necessary, highlighting any issues or areas of concern that arise
• To guarantee the security and cleanliness of the warehouse and work area, it is essential to complete additional tasks requested by management, including pallet construction
• May have to perform other tasks as instructed

A person's knowledge, skills, and abilities can be nurtured and honed through education, training, and experience in a particular area of study or profession
• A comprehensive understanding of the operations, methods, and processes utilized in warehouses, and the capability to use fundamental PC applications like Microsoft Office and SharePoint, are indispensable competencies for individuals employed in the logistics industry
• The capacity to perform duties in a high-speed environment while frequently carrying and raising objects that weigh 30 pounds
• The ability to handle a weight of 75 pounds
• The capacity to work in unison with a team is an important attribute for professional growth
• The success of any warehouse largely depends on the ability to skillfully coordinate and organize its operations

Minimum Qualifications:
• The successful acquisition of a high school diploma or GED opens up many opportunities for entry-level positions as well as career advancement

• Within the first four weeks of starting a new job, employees can receive a certification for operating a Pallet Jack, which falls under the category of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
