Job Description
About the position

Hand packing operator will ensure to pack product according to customer requirements by packing product into a finished good. The process entails the following, daily set up (Table, tape machine, conveyor), maintain 5s (clean and organize), changeovers (SSOP), packing (labeling, mixing, form boxes, apply code date per specifications), HACCP forms, consumption of material and RAF reporting. Hand packing operator will communicate and document efficiency standards while reporting inefficiencies to supervisor.

Responsibilities
• Receive and validate transfers with correct items numbers and quantities.
• Report problems with quality, equipment, material shortages, and incorrect formulas to the supervisor as they occur.
• Report and document metal detector reject per policy.
• Ensure that production is running standard.
• Run a continuous process from one shift to the next. One operator taking over for the other operator while in process of a mix (tag in tag out).
• Keep area clean and organized at all times.
• Complete passport labels and apply to pallet as completed.
• Turn paperwork into supervisor upon completion of your shift.
• Perform allergen cleaning’s and have quality assurance sign off on paperwork.
• Adhere and follow all process procedures related to specifications.
• Adhere to material usages and provide feedback on any investigation.
• Follow all production, general manufacturing, and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform all equipment set-up’s.
• Provide feedback to upper management for continuous improvement.

Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft AX, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be well-organized with high attention to detail.
• Ability to successfully prioritize workload.
• The ability to perform basic math skills.
• The ability to perform basic reading skills, such as: reading labels, formulas, and directions.
• Knowledge of measurement, percentages, and ratios.
• The ability to communicate and write effectively in English.
• Dependable and adaptable to a fast pace work environment.
• Standing on a concrete floor.
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, latex gloves, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
• Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
