This position is responsible for general production line work in manufacturing and packing of our fresh snacks.

Shifts Available:
• 6:30am - 11:00am
• 11:30am - 5:00pm
• 5:30pm - 10:00pm

FOOD SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY
• Follow all HACCP product handling processes including prerequisite programs such as allergen management, good manufacturing practices, sanitation, monitoring of CCP’s, implementation of corrective actions.
• Ensure that all HACCP/SQF/FDA-Preventive Controls documentation is filled out completely and accurately.
• Maintain the cleanliness of equipment.
• Properly fill out quality records with lot codes, weights, metal detector and times
• Adhere to safety standards on equipment.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) daily.
• Alert QA Manager and the Production Supervisor of any deviation to food safety requirements
• Responsible for Food Safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Food processing and packaging.
• Builds packing boxes.
• Opens pouches to prep for product.
• Places product labels on pouches and shipping boxes.
• Ensures that pouches are correctly prepped/opened for receiving product.
• Feeds pouches into the band sealer.
• Pack sealed pouches into prepped shipping boxes.
• Seals loaded boxes and properly stacks boxes onto shipping pallet.
• Reports personnel or product safety concerns to supervisor or management and takes action as necessary to protect people and or product.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

No prior experience or training required, but experience working with food a plus in a food manufacturing environment.

Skills and Experience
• Self-motivated and demonstrated initiative.
• Must be available to work any/all shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime on occasion if business needs change.
• Typical workday may consist of an 8 hour to a 12-hour work day
• Support Production operations to maintain standards of quality.
• Ability to follow company policies and work instructions on the production floor.

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Lifting Requirements: Routinely lifts under 10 pounds with occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs

If the item to be lifted is over 40 lbs, employee must ask for assistance from a coworker to team lift the item. Able to climb stairs.

Vision Requirements: This position requires close vision, distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
