Job Purpose:

The Delivery Driver is responsible in transporting products safely and timely from warehouse to clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Operation of their delivery vehicle safely and responsibly, following all traffic laws and regulations.
• Ensure that goods are delivered to their designated destinations within the target timeframes.
• Maintaining delivery vehicle in good working condition, performing routine inspections, and reporting any mechanical issues to ensure reliable transportation.
• Planning of most efficient and effective delivery routes, considering factors such as traffic conditions, distance, and delivery schedules.
• Loading and unloading of products onto and from their delivery vehicle, ensuring that items are secured properly during transport.
• Maintain delivery records, obtain signatures from clients as proof of delivery, and complete necessary paperwork.
• Checking of products being loaded in the delivery vehicle, ensuring that all items are accounted, in good condition, properly handled and in accordance with the delivery documents.
• Complies with delivery procedures, and safety protocols to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery process.
• Collection of payments from clients. Ensures that all collected cheques and cash are properly accounted and handed-over to accounting staff.
• Assist in warehousing activities such as unloading of products from the container whenever necessary.
• Transferring of stocks from one warehouse location to another.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
