Welder / Fabricator (Project-Based | Construction)

Job Type: Project-Based

Work Location: Site-Based / In-Person

Job Purpose To perform certified welding and fabrication work for construction projects, including the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of metal structures, ensuring quality workmanship, accuracy, and strict compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform welding using SMAW (Arc Welding), MIG (GMAW), and TIG processes based on project requirements
• Fabricate, assemble, and install steel structures, pipes, plates, frames, and other construction components
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical plans
• Inspect and test welded joints to ensure structural integrity and quality standards
• Measure, cut, grind, fit, and prepare metal materials prior to welding
• Assist in equipment installation, repair, and maintenance as required on-site
• Operate and maintain welding machines, fabrication tools, and safety equipment
• Perform finishing works such as grinding, polishing, and cleaning of welds
• Comply with construction safety rules, PPE requirements, and site regulations
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and site personnel to meet project timelines
• Perform other welding and fabrication tasks as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements
• High School Graduate, Vocational Course Graduate, or Trade School Graduate
• At least 1–3 years of experience as a Welder/Fabricator in construction or fabrication projects
• TESDA NC II Welding Certification – REQUIRED
• Proficient in SMAW, MIG, and TIG welding
• Knowledgeable in steel fabrication, fitting, and assembly works
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and fabrication plans
• Experience welding pipes, plates, and structural steel is an advantage
• Skilled in using measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools
• Physically fit and willing to work on-site and render overtime when required
• Able to work with minimal supervision and strictly follow safety instructions
