Position Title: Packing Manager

Department: Packing House / Operations

Location: Metro Pacific Fresh Farms Greenhouse Facility

Reports To: Head of Farm
• Job Objective

To lead and manage all packing house operations to ensure high-quality, timely, and efficient packing of fresh produce. The Packing Manager will implement best practices in sorting, grading, food safety, and documentation, ensuring compliance with quality standards such as HACCP and GAP while maintaining a disciplined and organized work environment.
• Work and Professional Experience Required
• Minimum 35 years experience in the fresh produce / agriculture / food manufacturing industry, preferably in greenhouse-grown produce.
• Strong experience in packing, sorting, grading, and handling highly perishable products.
• Knowledgeable in food safety systems such as HACCP, GMP, GAP, or similar certifications (advantage).
• Experience in supervising packing line teams, manpower planning, and implementing productivity and quality metrics.
• Familiar with inventory control, yield monitoring, and coordination with QA/QC and logistics.
• Ability to manage documentation and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

• Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Food Technology, Agribusiness, Industrial Engineering, or any related field.

• At least 35 years of relevant work experience, with minimum 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role in fresh produce or food manufacturing.
• Primary Responsibilities / Duties (Simplified)
• Lead Packing Operations Supervise daily packing activities to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient output while meeting quality and grading standards.
• Ensure Quality, Food Safety & Compliance Enforce HACCP, GAP, GMP, sanitation standards, and maintain all required documentation and SOPs.
• Manage People & Resources Oversee manpower schedules, staff performance, coaching/discipline, and packing material inventory.
• Maintain Cold Chain & Equipment Ensure proper temperature control, handling, and maintenance of packing tools, machines, and pre-cooling areas.
• Coordinate with QA/QC & Logistics Align with QA/QC on quality checks and defects; ensure proper labeling, order preparation, and timely dispatch.
• Drive Productivity, Cleanliness & Reporting Monitor yields and line efficiency, enforce 5S, resolve operational issues, and prepare production/manpower reports.
