Job Description
We are seeking a high-energy, motivated Packing Machine Operator for a premier Produce company in SE Calgary. This is a Full-Time, Long-Term role designed for a proactive individual looking for a stable career with significant growth potential within the company.

You will be responsible for operating high-speed packing equipment (specifically Giro machines) while ensuring all products meet strict quality and food safety standards. We need a leader who is not soft-spoken - you must be vocal and assertive to maintain efficiency in a loud, fast-paced, regulated-temperature environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Safely and efficiently operate Giro packing equipment. Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of tools and machines; report any mechanical issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Act as the "Lead Hand." Motivate the team, support efforts to improve packing techniques, and assist with other related duties to ensure daily operational efficiency.
• Ensure all packed products meet company standards for condition and grade. Create and maintain product traceability numbers and verify that all labeling meets safety and compliance standards.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP protocols at all times to maintain a clean, safe, and organized packing environment.
• Use basic math skills for counting and label verification; assist in tracking and maintaining the inventory of packing supplies.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and internal systems to record production data and maintain accurate records.

Requirements
• Availability: Must have full flexibility for both Morning and Afternoon shifts, tasks, and assignments to support operations.
• Experience: 1–2 years of Machine Operator experience (Produce industry preferred).
• Leadership: Proven background in leading or directing teams in a production setting.
• Personality: High energy and highly motivated. Must be comfortable being vocal and assertive in a busy warehouse.
• Physical Demands: Must have the physical ability to operate the machine and repetitively lift between 50 to 70 lbs throughout the shift.
• Work Environment: Ability to work a full shift in a regulated temperature environment (cold/refrigerated warehouse).
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
