Restaurant manager – M/F

Under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, private sector workers including restaurant staff cannot exceed 8 hours per day or 48 hours per week. Overtime remuneration is 25% above normal hourly wage, increasing to 50% for work between 10 PM and 4 AM. During Ramadan 2026, daily hours reduce to 6 maximum.

Employees receive 30 days paid annual leave after 1 year of service. Sick leave totals 90 days per year: 15 days full pay, 30 days half pay, 45 days no pay. End-of-service gratuity equals 21 days basic salary per year for first 5 years, 30 days thereafter, calculated on last basic salary.

Employers apply via MOHRE portal for work permit costing AED 250, valid 60 days for entry and job placement. Follow with medical fitness test AED 320 and residence visa processing AED 370 for 2-year validity. Full process completes in 5-10 working days.

Submit passport copy valid for 6 months, 4 recent photos, medical fitness certificate, and proof of experience or qualifications. Employer attests the contract electronically on MOHRE for AED 200 fee. Approval granted within 48 hours.
