Job Description

Our guests are always at home at Fairmont Hotels – and their In Room Dining experience is no exception. As an IRD Team Leader, you will be responsible for supervising daily in-room dining operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. This role leads the order-taking and service team, coordinates closely with the kitchen, and ensures timely and accurate delivery of food and beverage orders to guest rooms.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the in-room dining team.
• Ensure all guest calls are answered promptly and professionally according to brand standards.
• Monitor order accuracy, preparation times, and delivery standards.
• Conduct daily briefings and support training of team members.
• Ensure proper setup, presentation, and delivery of in-room dining orders.
• Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests efficiently and professionally.
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth service flow.
• Ensure accurate posting of charges and billing to guest accounts.
• Monitor inventory levels of in-room dining equipment and supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with hotel policies.
• Assist with scheduling, shift planning, and performance monitoring of team members.
• Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and strong guest engagement.

Qualifications
• Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Food & Beverage service, preferably in in-room dining.
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
