We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at our Johannesburg, Gauteng, ZA facility. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient service delivery, managing cleaning teams, optimizing resource allocation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, particularly within the service industry, with proven leadership skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for staff supervision, performance management, client relations, and implementing operational improvements to enhance service quality and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee all daily operations of the cleaning and sanitation services division. Manage, train, and motivate a large team of cleaning staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards. Develop and implement efficient work schedules and resource allocation plans. Monitor service quality and client satisfaction, addressing feedback and resolving issues promptly. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within all operational areas. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective procurement. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure cleaning standards are met and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with sales and client relations teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client retention. Implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. Maintain accurate operational records, including staff attendance, performance metrics, and supply usage. Foster a positive and productive work environment for all team members. Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for the operations department. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in operations management, preferably in the cleaning, facilities management, or service industry. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff. Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity to manage multiple priorities. A thorough understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and health and safety protocols. Proficiency in operational planning and performance monitoring. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Experience with budgeting and cost control measures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant operational software. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Johannesburg area as needed.
