We are currently recruiting for Contract Managers within the cleaning sector to manage and control all cleaning and general maintenance outlets to the required standards within agreed budgetary units and to provide effective leadership for all staff within the unit, who will b e able a spilt between dayshift and nightshift.

Established in 1975, Feedem is a large contract catering company in South Africa which manages in excess of 300 sites and employs more than 5 000 people ranging from dieticians, chefs and human capital specialists to hygiene experts.

Minimum Requirements
• Matric / Grade 12
• Certificates in Health and Safety (SHEQ) will be advantageous
• Minimum 2-3 years of Supervisory or management experience preferably in the cleaning and general maintenance industry.
• English / additional SA languages would be advantageous
• Computer Literacy
• Valid Driver’s license and reliable transport
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Management of payroll, salaries and Time and Attendance System (ERS BIO)
• Ensure that all employees are visible on ERS BIO profiles.
• Roster all employees periodically
• Ensures that Manual Timesheets are submitted if there is any “missed punches”.
• Add or edit absenteeism status to relevant leave categories.
• Check and authorise all overtime hours that must be paid out if applicable.
• Schedule annual leave for all staff on sites in conjunction with Area Manager and ensure that leave has been captured on the ERS BIO and ESS.
• Regular checks on late coming/early leaving/auto clock out reports on ERS BIO
• Submit contracts, salary pack and timesheets as per stipulated timeframe to the Area Manager
• Daily feedback on relievers and site attendance to management
• Weekly checks of manual and electronic clock- in
• Place the order for Area Manager 5 days before 10th of every month
• Ensure that all goods are available and communicate with Area Manager for any concerns.
• Monthly stock takes must be conducted
• Monthly orders to be submitted against budgets
• Deliver stock to sites
• Train staff on chemicals and dilution rates
• Monthly equipment checks to be done according to check list
• Monitor on every site visit that uniforms are clean and presentable
• Issue to employees and keep accurate records
• Ensure that you have the Nosa required first aid box in your unit.
• Ensure that you have a First Aid Booklet in the unit.
• Ensures that cleaning practices comply with all relevant regulation i.e. OSHA guidelines, as well as
• local or industry-specific health and safety rules
• Ensure that all cleaning staff understand and follow these regulations, from proper chemical handling to the safe use of cleaning equipment.
• Random Security checks to be performed monthly
• Monthly meeting to be held with Health and Safety officers
• Check that all pest control equipment on sites is in working order
• Service according to schedule
• Complete pest control service book for each service
• Report any faulty, stolen, and vandalised units
• Detailed job description to be handed to direct reports and kept on record.
• Inspire direct reports and team members to deliver on key performance areas.
• Coordinate any people administration tasks should the need arise.
• Provide guidance to staff within the units.
• Headcount management on new recruits, terminations, promotions according to your service agreement.
• Management of labour turn over or attrition for staff
• Client engagement and satisfaction, through duty commitment and overseeing its completion.
• Building relationship with the direct onsite client as well as the different HOD.
• Maintaining relationships with service providers.
• Keep relevant parties informed to encourage operational effectiveness and efficiency.
