As a Security Guard Patrol Support Officer in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:
• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, helping to identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help to deter unauthorized entry, theft-related activity, and/or other suspicious behavior.
• Support a professional shopping and workplace environment by providing directions, addressing routine questions, and communicating clearly with customers, staff, and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
