Job Description
Job Summary:

The Traveling Custodian / Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across multiple group home facilities. This position requires reliable transportation and regular travel between group home facilities and offices. The role ensures that all sites meet health, safety, and cleanliness standards in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM - 5 PM

Payrate: $22 per hour

Location: Must be able to travel to Philadelphia, Berks, and Hatboro

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Clean restrooms, kitchens, common areas, bedrooms, and office spaces as assigned.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies at each site.
• Travel between assigned sites on a scheduled or as-needed basis
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely (vacuums, floor buffers, etc.).
• Report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor promptly.
• Follow all safety procedures, including use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate logs of cleaning activities and site visits as required.
• Support special cleaning projects and deep-cleaning tasks as directed.
• Ensure compliance with agency, state, and licensing cleanliness standards.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in custodial, housekeeping, or janitorial work required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between multiple locations daily.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, safe use of chemicals, and infection control procedures.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and punctual.
