Standard Hood Cleaning is looking to hire and train a Hood Cleaning Technician and Employee #1. Excellent advancement and incentive opportunities are available along with competitive wage increases. Kitchen exhaust hood cleaning experience is a plus, or prior experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pressure washing, or janitorial cleaning.

Responsibilities include:

 The set-up and take-down of job site equipment including hanging plastic sheeting, securing ladders, mixing chemicals, operating wet/dry vacuums, pre-sprayers, garden hoses, and high-pressure hoses, and wiping down stainless steel hoods.

 Pre-scraping greasy buildup from affected areas of kitchen exhaust systems

 Pressure washing the interior of kitchen exhaust systems including hoods, ductwork, filters, and exhaust fans

 Final clean-up in kitchens by wiping down the hoods, mopping up the floors, etc.

 Digital photography of all work performed at each job

 Independent completion of work projects with limited supervision

 Reporting mechanical deficiencies of customer and/or company equipment to management

 Provide high level of customer service and maintain and report any deficiencies to customer

 Maintaining the cleanliness of company tools, equipment, and vehicles each night

Requirements:

 Have a valid Driver's License with a minimum of 6 years driving experience

 Have personal transportation to and from our vehicle location

 Have a good driving record that passes our insurance company’s requirements

 Be willing to drive a full-size company truck and equipment to job sites

 Have a working cell phone and respond promptly to all calls from management

 Have a professional appearance

 Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check

 Be dependable; able to show up on time, read and follow instructions

 Be physically fit; able to climb ladders, able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. at times

 Have the desire to learn quickly and be able to work in a fast-paced work environment

 Have excellent attention to detail, and be able to work quickly and efficiently

 Be able to work flexible hours; nights, early mornings, and some weekends

 Be able to work safely in both hot, cold, and/or inclement weather

 Be able to complete work projects from start to finish with limited supervision

 Be fluent in English; able to communicate well with customers and other team members

 Be mechanically inclined and dedicated to learning the Standard Hood Cleaning systems and processes

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
