As per the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the minimum wage for electricians in Turkey is 34,500 TL per month as of January 2026. Electricians working overtime must receive 1.5 times the hourly rate for hours beyond 45 per week. This rate applies to all certified electricians under the 2026 collective agreement.

Foreign electricians must obtain a work permit from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security before starting employment in Turkey. Required documents include a valid passport, diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent, and a health certificate issued within the last 6 months. Applications must be submitted online via the e-Devlet system by March 2026 for the fiscal year.

Electricians in Turkey require a high school vocational diploma in electrical fields plus 2 years of documented experience as of 2026. Certification from the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK) is mandatory for roles involving high voltage work. Applicants must pass a practical exam administered by authorized testing centers.

Job applications for electrician roles require a national ID, MYK certificate, and criminal record certificate dated within 3 months. Applications must be filed via the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) portal with a resume showing at least 1,200 hours of prior work. All submissions for 2026 positions close on 30 September 2026.
