WORK BASE: Chiang Mai, ThailandLANGUAGE: Proficiency in Thai, Karen, and English; Burmese is an advantage Candidates must be eligible to work in Thailand This entry-level associate assists with the day-to-day processes and activities to service the participant-supporter connection. With supervision, works within Compassion systems, processes and standards ensuring quality communication and information. Specifically, he or she assists the processing of child sponsorship, child survival, youth and other field program communication resources.ResponsibilitiesMaintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.Assists with coordinating the gathering of communication resources from the church partner.Assists in ensuring communication between supporters and participants and church partners aligns with Sponsor Donor Support standards and follows production schedules with deadlines and acts on feedback on the quality of information received.Supports various field office staff to process marketing or external relations related information.Generates, organizes, records, and tracks child, mother-child unit and student information and correspondence documents within established time lines. This includes project gift usage, letters, and child updates (registration, transfers exits, etc).Assists in reviewing and correcting documents ensuring Compassion standards are met and accuracy of data. Enters information into participant and supporter communication-focuses dashboards. Assists in addressing gaps in understanding of systems, processes, and Compassion standards and supports capacity building efforts for the church partner staff they support as needed.Enters electronic information involving participant and supporter data into database and maintains computer files.Often provides some general administrative support.QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Communications, or a related field).0–2 years of experience in donor support, customer service, or administrative roles; preferably with experience in NGO/INGO work, particularly along the Thai–Myanmar border. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.Active member of a local church, with a deep passion for serving the Church and children in poverty.Strong written and verbal communication skills in Thai, Karen, and English, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and compassionately. Burmese language skills are an advantage.Interpersonal skills, including active listening, collaboration, and negotiation, with the ability to build positive relationships with sponsors and colleaguesDemonstrates patience, humility, and a service-oriented attitude when engaging with sponsors, church partners, and colleagues.Strong multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and online/database systems, with the ability to quickly learn new digital tools.Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to accuracyComfortable and efficient in handling repetitive administrative tasks while maintaining quality and consistency.Equivalent education, training and/or certification may be substituted for experience and education shown aboveTravel RequirementsMay be required to travel up to 10% of normal schedule Please submit your resume or CV in English
