Food Delivery Driver

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), the minimum wage for Saudi nationals employed as drivers in the private sector is SAR 4,000 per month as of 2026. This applies under Royal Decree M/27 dated 26/5/1426 AH (Article 3 of Labor Law). Employers must also provide end-of-service benefits calculated at half a month's wage for each year.

As per the MHRSD Qiwa platform, foreign drivers need a job offer from a Saudi employer, an approved work contract via Qiwa, and a work visa (type 1-year renewable Iqama) sponsored by the employer. The process requires medical fitness report and police clearance, with visa fees at SAR 2,000 initial plus SAR 650 annual renewal as of 2026. Approval takes 5-10 working days after submission.

As per MHRSD guidelines, no formal education is required for standard driver roles, but 1-2 years driving experience is mandatory for heavy vehicle drivers under Nitaqat Saudization. Saudi nationals or expats must hold a valid Saudi driving license (Category 3 for light, 4-5 for heavy vehicles). Age limit is 21-60 years for employment eligibility.

As per the Qiwa platform, applicants need a valid Iqama or passport, Saudi driving license, attested educational certificates if any, medical report, and employment contract signed via Qiwa. Saudi nationals submit National ID; expats provide visa approval. Submit online via employer portal within 7 days of job offer.
