Job Summary

We are urgently seeking an ASME Section IX Qualified Welder for a Crusher Rotor Weld Repair Project. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience in heavy equipment repair welding, including multi-pass welding techniques using GMAW and SMAW processes.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform welding repair works on crusher rotor components as per approved WPS and project requirements
• Execute multi-pass welding including GMAW root pass and SMAW fill/cap passes
• Weld using consumables such as ER80S-Ni2 (1.6 mm) and E8018-C1 (3.2 mm)
• Ensure welding quality meets ASME and project standards
• Maintain proper preheat and interpass temperature control during welding activities
• Carry out welding in all positions including groove and fillet welds
• Follow strict safety and quality procedures while working in laboratory or workshop environments

Minimum Requirements
• Valid ASME Section IX Welding Qualification Test (WQT) certificate
• Must be qualified in both GMAW and SMAW welding processes
• Proven experience working with:
• ER80S-Ni2 (1.6 mm) – GMAW
• E8018-C1 (3.2 mm) – SMAW
• Qualified for all welding positions (groove & fillet)
• Strong experience in multi-pass welding techniques
• Familiar with preheat range 120–150°C and maintaining interpass temperature ≤165°C
• Minimum 5 years of experience in welding repair of heavy / rotating equipment

Preferred Skills
• Experience in crusher rotor repair or similar rotating machinery welding works
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
• Strong understanding of welding procedures and quality inspection requirements
