Packer positions in Doha

Entry-level packing jobs in the private sector pay QAR 1,800 to QAR 2,500 per month basic salary plus QAR 300 housing allowance as per standard employment contracts approved by the Ministry of Labour in 2026. Overtime is compensated at 125% of hourly rate for weekdays and 150% for rest days. Most contracts include free accommodation and medical insurance.

Foreign workers require an employer-sponsored Work Residence Permit (Article 38 of Law No. 14/2020), valid for 1 year renewable up to 5 years, with application fee QAR 300 paid by employer. Submit job offer, passport valid 6 months, medical exam (QAR 100), and police clearance within 2 weeks of arrival. Change jobs after 1 year with MOL approval.

No minimum education required for unskilled packing jobs; high school certificate sufficient for most warehouse packing roles per MOL contract standards. 6-12 months relevant experience preferred but entry-level positions accept no experience with on-job training. All must pass pre-employment medical fitness exam.

Employer submits online application via MOL portal with 6 passport photos, attested passport copy, employment contract, and medical fitness certificate. Process takes 5-10 working days with fees QAR 200 for permit issuance. Worker enters on free visa then converts to residence permit within 30 days.
