A hands-on role supporting maintenance, repairs & essential services across the region Te kōwhiringa | The OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Water Serviceperson to join a high-performing team delivering essential services across Auckland's water, wastewater and storm water networks. In this role, you'll support the delivery of both routine maintenance and reactive works, helping ensure network faults are responded to quickly and effectively. From assisting with repairs through to reinstatement works, your contribution will help maintain critical infrastructure and keep communities connected. Working closely with your Supervisor and crew, you'll play a key role in day-to-day operations-responding to customer requests, supporting fault resolution and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You'll also be responsible for completing field data entry, maintaining accurate records and contributing to continuous improvement across operations. Customer interaction is an important part of the role. You'll engage with the public and stakeholders, helping ensure clear communication and a high level of service delivery, while meeting contractual response times. This is a hands-on position with opportunities to grow your capability over time, gaining the skills and experience to work more independently as your confidence develops. You'll also take part in standby and callout rosters, supporting critical incident response when required.
