Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for welding and gas cutting of steel plates, pipes, and structural components used in shipbuilding, repair, and fabrication, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform welding (ARC/MIG) and gas cutting operations as per drawings and work instructions
• Cut, fit, and weld ship hull plates, sections, frames, and pipelines
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols
• Ensure weld quality, alignment, and dimensional accuracy
• Carry out pre-heating, grinding, and finishing as required
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE at all times
• Maintain tools, welding machines, and gas cutting equipment
• Coordinate with supervisors and fitters to meet production schedules

Requirements:
• ITI / trade certificate in Welding or equivalent
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in shipbuilding or heavy fabrication
• Knowledge of welding techniques, electrodes, and gas cutting practices
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights

Work Location: Shipyard / Dry Dock / Fabrication Yard
• It is a Full Time Manufacturing job for candidates with 2 - 6+ years Experience.
