As per the Delhi Labour Department, the minimum wage for security guards classified as semi-skilled workers in Delhi Zone I is ₹29,919 per month effective from October 2026, including basic rate of ₹21,516 plus Variable Dearness Allowance of ₹8,403. Overtime beyond 9 hours per day or 48 hours per week is paid at twice the ordinary rate of ₹166 per hour. This applies to establishments covered under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.

Under the Private Security Agencies Regulation Act, 2005, candidates must be Indian citizens aged 18-60 years, with minimum qualification of Class 8 pass and no criminal record.
