As per the Ministry of Labour & Employment, the minimum wage for unskilled workers including office boys in Delhi (Zone I) is ₹28,509 per month as of October 2026, comprising basic rate of ₹18,306 plus VDA of ₹10,203. Overtime is payable at twice the ordinary rate for work beyond 9 hours per day. This applies to establishments under the Minimum Wages Act, 1948.

No formal education or minimum qualification is required for office boy roles classified under Group X (unskilled) in the National Classification of Occupations. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and physically fit for tasks like cleaning and errands. Prior experience is not mandatory for entry-level positions.

Mandatory documents include Aadhaar card, bank account details, PAN card (if available), and two passport-size photos for registration on the National Career Service portal.
