Job Description
Position: Multi-Trade Plumber
Location: Various sites across the North East and surrounding areas

The Multi-Trade Plumber is responsible for carrying out a variety of skilled plumbing, maintenance, and repair tasks across residential properties. This role involves working within high-end markets for the UK’s leading developers and retirement companies.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Plumbing Installation: Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems including pipework, sanitary ware, taps, valves, toilets, sinks, baths, showers, radiators, and associated fixtures and fittings in line with project specifications and regulations.
• Repairs & Maintenance: Diagnose and repair plumbing faults including leaks, blockages, faulty fixtures, and damaged pipework. Carry out routine maintenance and inspections to identify and prevent potential issues.
• Surface & Area Preparation: Prepare work areas and plumbing systems for installation or repair work, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining a clean and safe working environment at all times.
• Multi-Trade Duties: Carry out additional maintenance and repair tasks outside of plumbing where required, including basic carpentry, tiling, painting, patch plastering, and general maintenance works.
• Material Management: Measure and order materials required for each project, ensuring minimal waste. Maintain stock levels and ensure tools and equipment are kept in good working condition.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe, and compliant at all times.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with clients, site managers, and stakeholders to discuss project requirements, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction with completed work.
• Providing trade expertise within additional trades, offering an efficient, high-quality repairs and replacement service.
• Being willing to upskill and develop to enable completion of all types of trade work.
• Working alongside other tradespeople, providing support and training where apprentices are used.
• Using hand and electric/machine tools and being prepared to undertake training where required.
• Driving and being responsible for a company vehicle when required, in accordance with health and safety procedures, Group Fleet Policy, and Drivers Handbook, including conducting weekly vehicle checks.
• Using and being responsible for a company mobile phone as required by the Group, ensuring it is used responsibly and in accordance with company instructions.
• Completing all necessary associated work documentation.

Qualifications and Experience
• Experience: Proven experience as a plumber or in a similar maintenance role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Experience within residential maintenance and construction projects is advantageous. The ability to assist in other areas of maintenance and installation schedules will be beneficial.
• Education: Relevant NVQ or equivalent qualifications in Plumbing or Construction. Valid CSCS card required.

You Will Receive
• Salary in the region of £32,000 – £37,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience and qualifications)
• Permanent contract working Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, with flexibility required to meet business and customer needs, including occasional evening/weekend work
