Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum + Overtime + Call Out Allowance

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Plumber / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a prestigious retail and commercial site in Solihull. Working as part of the on-site engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical, plumbing, and building services systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical and plumbing systems
• Diagnose faults and undertake repairs to pumps, motors, valves, bearings, and associated plant equipment
• Maintain and repair commercial plumbing systems, pipework services, and water systems
• Service and maintain HVAC equipment and mechanical building services plant
• Carry out repairs, replacements, and installations of mechanical equipment, fixtures, and fittings
• Complete maintenance reports and update CAFM systems accurately
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and compliance standards
• Liaise with contractors, site teams, and stakeholders to ensure excellent service delivery
• Maintain plant rooms and engineering areas to a high standard
• Participate in a 1 in 4 call-out rota following successful completion of probation

Essential Requirements
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services
• Previous experience as a Commercial Plumber, Maintenance Plumber, Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, or Building Services Engineer
• Strong experience working with:
• Commercial plumbing systems
• Mechanical pipework services
• Pumps, motors, valves, and bearings
• HVAC plant and equipment
• General building services maintenance
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance within commercial environments
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good IT skills and experience using maintenance management systems
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
