Job Description
HGV Class 2 Driver – Ongoing Work

£16.21 per hour

Pertemps Sheffield is currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for regular, ongoing work with a leading food distribution company.

Full-time and part-time positions are available, with newly qualified (new pass) drivers welcome to apply.

The Role
• Regular ongoing work
• Monday to Saturday transport operation
• Full-time and part-time shifts available
• Start times between 5:00am and 6:00am
• Approximate finish time 4:00pm (route dependent- Up to 15 deliveries a shift)
• Multi-drop deliveries to restaurants, convenience stores and other commercial customers
• This is a busy, fast-paced delivery operation where drivers are expected to work efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
• This is a physically demanding role involving regular handball, lifting, loading and unloading of products at multiple delivery points throughout the day.
• You will be working outdoors in all weather conditions, so applicants should be comfortable carrying out manual handling duties throughout their shift.
• Routes vary daily, so flexibility is essential.

Requirements
• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
• Excellent customer service skills
• New pass drivers are welcome to apply
