HGV Class 1 Day Driver – Full time Ongoing Opportunity - Sheffield

Monday to Friday Days £17.93 per hour
Overtime £20.93 per hour after 40 hours worked per week

Pertemps Sheffield is currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Day Drivers for an ongoing opportunity with a leading utilities company based in Sheffield.

This is an excellent opportunity offering Monday to Friday day work only – no weekends or bank holiday working required.

The Role
• Day shifts only
• Monday to Friday
• No weekend or bank holiday work
• Ongoing opportunity
• Deliver a wide range of goods, materials, plant and equipment to operational sites
• Deliver and put away stock at various locations
• Carry out stock checks and replenish engineer lockers and storage areas
• Load and unload the vehicle safely
• Deliver materials and equipment to live operational sites
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure all paperwork is accurate
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within stores and vehicles
• Provide a high standard of customer service to engineers and internal stakeholders
• Comply with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph regulations
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies at all times

Requirements
• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Ideally 2 years' Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
• Good geographical knowledge
• Experience securing loads safely
• Good understanding of Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and tachograph legislation
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A reliable, proactive and safety-conscious approach to work
