Job Description
Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver & Shunter to join our Drinks operation based in Manchester (M40 8PA). In this role, you will be responsible for the collection and delivery of stock from production sites to our nationwide RDCs. You will also be required to work across two sites to provide cover for the shunting operation at the customer site.

This is a full-time, permanent position, contracted to 48 hours per week. You will work Monday to Friday on a day shift, with a start time of 17:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
• Delivering to and from other GXO sites and customer sites (these will include single and multi-drops)
• Shunting on-site, on occasion, when required
• Ensuring the safe and legal operation of your vehicle, guaranteeing the vehicle has been loaded correctly prior to leaving site
• Reporting any issues regarding delivery or vehicle/trailer defects to the transport office

What you need to succeed at GXO:
• A full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 3 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
