Cleaner

Rate: £13.45 per hour
Location: Sheffield S1
Job Type: Temporary

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various areas, including offices, kitchens, and public spaces. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of cleaning tasks, ensuring all environments are kept sanitary and welcoming.

Day-to-day of the role:

Perform cleaning tasks such as washing, sweeping, scrubbing, sanitising, shampooing, vacuum cleaning, polishing, and dusting in designated areas as required.
Maintain cleanliness in kitchens, toilets, showers, and public spaces including wiping desks, emptying bins, hoovering, and mopping floors.
Clear tables of food waste and crockery in food halls and meeting rooms, manage dishwashers, and store items appropriately.
Use appropriate cleaning equipment, materials, and machinery following safety guidelines and manufacturers' instructions.
Engage in specialist or deep cleaning tasks as needed, such as carpet shampooing, buffing, and polishing.
Utilize specific ICT systems and devices to carry out duties and comply with all organisational policies.
Report any damages, defects, or standard failures to the supervisor or designated officer.
Support the porterage of items and set up spaces according to predetermined layouts.
Work independently or as part of a team to deliver effective cleaning services and contribute to the overall statutory compliance programme.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in a cleaning role, with a good understanding of health and safety regulations.
Ability to use various cleaning tools and equipment and follow complex instructions.
Good communication skills to liaise with site staff, supervisors, and managers.
Capable of performing physical tasks and standing for extended periods.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
