Essential duties & responsibilities
• Removal, replacement, or modification of dead legs and redundant pipework.
• Installation or replacement of TMVs (thermostatic mixing valves)
• Hot water cylinder and calorifier remedial tasks (e.g., thermostat replacements, drain-downs).
• Pipework rerouting and general plumbing adjustments to improve water flow and minimise risk.
• Replacement of taps, shower heads, hoses, and other fittings.
• Cold water storage tank refurbishment works (where appropriate).
• Temperature monitoring of hot and cold water systems.
• Weekly/monthly flushing of infrequently used outlets.
• TMV servicing, failsafe checks, and calibration.
• Showerhead and hose cleaning/descaling.
• Water tank inspections and basic maintenance.
• Calorifier inspections and internal temperature checks.
• Sampling of water systems for microbiological analysis.

Skills & Qualifications Required

Knowledge & Understanding
• Experience delivering remedial plumbing works in commercial environments.
• Knowledge of Legionella control, L8, and HSG 274 guidance.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
• Strong problem-solving capability and practical mindset.

Qualifications
• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plumbing OR NVQ Level 3 Plumbing / Advanced craft (desirable).
• City & Guilds Legionella Awareness / Hot & Cold Water Systems (desirable).
