Job Description
MIG Production Welder – High Cosmetic Finish
Garretts Green, Birmingham B33
£15.50 per hour | Gross Weekly Pay £573.50 | Earn up to £868.00 per week with overtime
We are recruiting experienced MIG Production Welders to join a leading manufacturer of premium office desks and workstation furniture. Using modern manufacturing processes, the company produces high-quality steel-framed furniture supplied to commercial customers throughout the UK.
This is a 12-week temporary contract with an immediate start.
The role involves MIG welding light gauge mild steel components to a consistently high cosmetic standard within a fast-paced production environment. You will be working from engineering drawings, carrying out quality checks and ensuring every product meets the company's high standards.
Hours:
• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
• 37-hour working week
Overtime:
• Monday to Friday: 6:00am – 8:00am paid at £20.15 per hour.
• Saturday: 6:00am – 10:00am paid at £23.25 per hour.
The Ideal Candidate:
• Previous MIG production welding experience.
• Able to produce high cosmetic finish welds on light gauge mild steel.
• Experience working from engineering drawings.
• Reliable, hardworking and quality focused.
