Aviation Security Officers Required!

The Best Connection are excited to be recruiting for a number of Airport Security Officers for our client based in Manchester.
• Pay Rate: £12.71ph
• Hours: Various (minimum 4 hours per shift, some shifts may be longer depending on operational requirements between the hours of 0400 - 1200)
• Shifts: 4 on 2 off (could vary depending on operational requirements & flight schedules)
• Having your own transport is essential
• Location: M17 1EH

The role of the Airport Security Officer will involve carrying out security procedures for an operation outside of Manchester Airport for one of their international airlines and ensuring all security measures are being followed. Your main location of work will be with one of our catering providers. However you may be required to work with different areas such as the Baggage Handlers, Customer Care Teams, Cargo Handlers, Check In staff. Please note the job is to observe only and check the work being carried out is being done correctly and to CAA regulations.

Aviation Security Officers will also be responsible for the following:
• Working in the access control area, monitoring items due to go onboard aircrafts
• Searching and checking of items due to go onboard aircrafts
• Completing document checks for items due to go onboard aircrafts
• Answering security questions
• Help transport items securely
• Working mainly in a food production environment

Please note: Due to the nature of our business, we are regulated by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), therefore it is compulsory for all applicants to provide or be willing to obtain the following:
• Be willing to apply for a Criminal Record Check (Paid for by us!)
• Have a full 5-year checkable history (Obtained for you by us!)
• Able to Access your HMRC Gateway to provide a detailed breakdown of earnings over the last 5 years
• Be able to provide a full 5-year address history
• Have an in date and valid Photo ID (Passport, Driving Licence, ID Card etc)
• Be willing to attend Aviation Security Training Courses
• Must have resided within the UK during the last 3 years and be willing to complete a Counter Terrorism Check (Paid for and obtained by us!)
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Due to the start times must have access to own transport
