Security Officer

As per the Ministry of Manpower, the minimum wage for security guards in Egypt is 8,000 EGP per month as of January 2026. Overtime after 8 hours daily must be compensated at 1.5 times the hourly rate with mandatory payment by the 7th of each month.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, applicants for security guard roles must hold at least a preparatory certificate and complete 40 hours of approved training. Prior experience of 6 months in security or military service is mandatory for licensed positions starting 2026.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, submit national ID, birth certificate, medical fitness certificate from a government hospital, and training completion proof to the nearest manpower office. Applications must be filed in person with a 50 EGP processing fee as of 2026.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, security guards work a maximum of 8 hours per day and 48 hours per week with at least one rest day. Employees receive 21 days of paid annual leave after the first year plus 15 days sick leave annually starting 2026.
