In this role, you will be responsible for developing and scaling up sustainable e-commerce packaging standards and sustainable packaging solutions. To be successful, you will need excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders. We interface with Operations, Engineering, Category, Finance, Procurement, Data Science, and Global Packaging teams to identify and execute solutions that improve Customer experience by reducing waste and damages in packaging, while also driving significant savings for Amazon.

This opportunity requires excellent troubleshooting, problem solving, innovative thinking and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, ambiguous and technical environment. Ownership of work is extremely important, and candidates should have a proven record of driving projects and strategic initiatives to completion. The ideal candidate is motivated, optimistic and agile; with strong time management and project management skills.

Key job responsibilities

Manage new and existing programs, successfully delivering difficult projects and goals across multiple organizations Work directly with key internal stakeholders, customers, and partner teams to craft and deliver scalable solutions Partner with other program managers to secure resources, scope efforts, set project priorities and milestones and drive delivery Own program communication, accelerating progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g., path to green), escalating as appropriate Influence design and development of strategic processes Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and deliver critical business initiatives Develop, implement, and govern KPI reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects and using this data to drive/influence business decisions Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end outcomes for Amazon customers Manage post-launch support plans (e.g., post-mortem, issue/ticket management, etc.) and look for opportunities to improve program quality and operational excellence. Coordinate and communicate packaging improvements and progress updates to key stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of employee and performance management experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership Working experience in project management owning program strategy, end to end. Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, etc.). Advanced English communication skills C1+

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent 2+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience Knowledge and experience manufacturing various packaging materials; including design and production of prototypes, and new product development Consumer packaged goods or e-commerce experience
