Pipe Welder

The Pipe Welder is responsible for operating welding equipment to weld ferrous and non-ferrous metal parts such as pipes, vessels, and other components used in construction.

How will you contribute to the team?

To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
• Measuring and cutting materials to specifications
• Identify required tools, machines, and special equipment required
• Lay out, fit and fabricate all metal components
• Ensure quality work through extensive knowledge of metallurgy, welding techniques, and engineering requirements
• Work in compliance with Occupational Health & Safety legislation as well as environmental and quality policies and procedures in daily operations

Successful applicants must have the following qualification/skills:
• Industry related TSSA / CWB Certification in the past
• TIG / MIG / Stick processes
• Past Process pipe welding would be an asset
• Basic ability to use hand tools
• Safety Conscious
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem solving skills
• Comfortable in a dynamic, fast paced environment with changing priorities and deadlines

Working Conditions:

Located on site or shop, personal protective equipment (i.e. Hard hat, safety boots) required at all times when on site. Must have access to personal vehicle.
