If so, we’d love to hear from you! Our client, a major manufacturer in Calgary’s SE industrial sector, specializes in spooling, coating, and pressure piping for large-scale industrial projects. They are looking for a highly skilled B Pressure Welder to join their team. This is a Contract-to-Hire position, offering a foot in the door with a premier company that is currently expanding its facility and looking for long-term additions to its core team.

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (Long-term career path)
Location: Calgary, AB (SE Industrial)
Schedule: Night Shift 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM Monday to Thursday (4x10)
Environment: Fabrication Shop / Industrial
Wage: $43.00 - $48.00 per hour + $3.00/hour Night Shift Premium

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
- High-Pressure Fabrication: Perform B Pressure welding on pipes ranging from 2" to 60" using MIG (GMAW) roots and Flux-core (FCAW) caps.
- Full Fit-Ups: Independently complete components fitting according to blueprints and technical specifications.
- System Utilization: Utilize rolling systems for welding and support projects from initial setup through to finishing.
- Quality Standards: Maintain the integrity of seam and circ welds to meet strict industrial and safety standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the shop team to ensure production targets are met, assisting in other areas of the facility during work delays if needed.

Qualifications
What are we looking for in a candidate?
- Certification: Valid Alberta B-Pressure Welding Ticket and Journeyman/Red Seal Certification is mandatory.
- Technical Mastery: Proven expertise in MIG roots and Flux-core capping; CWB tickets are a significant asset.
- Fitting Skills: 3+ years of experience performing your own fit-ups on various pipe diameters.Testing: Ability to pass a rigorous weld test ($2 \frac{1}{2}$" XS, GMAW root, Flux-core cap).
- Gear: You must own your own CSA-approved steel-toe boots, welding helmet, and respirator.
