Job Description
We are actively hiring Use of Force certified Security Guards to join our team providing professional uniformed security services at high-profile facilities in Ottawa. You will be responsible for maintaining safe, secure, and orderly environments, serving the public, responding to incidents, and supporting a team committed to the highest standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform static post and patrol duties throughout assigned facilities
• Monitor and enforce access control, including lock/unlock procedures and visitor screening
• Identify and deter unauthorized, illegal, or prohibited activity
• Respond to medical emergencies; administer first aid, AED, and Naloxone as required
• Apply Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) techniques to de-escalate situations
• Apply Use of Force and arrest procedures in accordance with the Criminal Code (s.25 / s.494) when necessary
• Monitor CCTV systems and electronic security infrastructure
• Conduct traffic and parking control on facility grounds
• Complete incident reports, alarm logs, and security checklists accurately
• Communicate professionally with the public and colleagues at all times
• Support screening operations using X-ray and metal detection equipment where assigned

Qualifications & Requirements
• Valid Ontario Security Guard licence (PSISA)
• Current Use of Force certification
• Minimum 1 year security experience OR enrollment/graduation from Police Foundations or Law & Security program
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Standard First Aid + CPR-C + AED + Naloxone certification
• NVCI certification (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention)
• Ability to obtain a Police Records Check, Judicial Matters
• Ability to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Status clearance
• Bilingualism (English/French) is a strong asset
• AODA, Cultural Sensitivity, and Mental Health Awareness training
• Smart Serve certification (required for certain assignments)
• Physical fitness: ability to stand/walk full shifts, respond rapidly, lift up to 20 lbs
• Competency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and CCTV systems

Pay: $23.40-$24.79 per hour
