As per the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the Minimum Recruitable Salary for plumbers is BHD 225 per month as of January 2026. This applies to third-country nationals applying for work visas sponsored by Bahraini employers. Salaries below this amount will not be approved for work permits.

Foreign plumbers require a work permit from LMRA, sponsored by a Bahraini employer, valid for 2 years at BHD 2,000 fee paid by sponsor as of 2026. Applicants must pass a medical fitness test costing BHD 20 and provide a valid passport with 6 months validity. The process takes 5-10 working days via LMRA portal.

LMRA requires at least 2 years of verifiable experience for plumber work permits as of 2026; no formal education certificate is mandatory but technical training proof strengthens applications.
