Packing helper

As per the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the minimum recruitable salary for unskilled packing workers is BHD 300 per month as of January 2026. This must include basic wage and housing allowance, with overtime paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate equivalent to BHD 1.44 per hour based on 208 working hours per month. Employers must attest salaries annually via LMRA portal.

Foreign workers need an Article 75 work permit sponsored by a Bahraini employer, valid for 2 years renewable, with a minimum salary of BHD 300 monthly as per LMRA guidelines effective 2026. The employer pays BHD 200 permit fee and provides medical insurance. Processing takes 5 working days after document submission.

No formal education or prior experience is required for basic packing roles under Ministry of Labour classifications, but applicants aged 21-60 must pass a LMRA-approved medical fitness test costing BHD 20. Bahraini nationality or GCC citizenship grants priority access without work permit. Physical fitness for 8-hour shifts is mandatory.

The employer submits online via LMRA portal: passport copy valid 6+ months, 4 passport photos, medical fitness certificate, attested contract stating BHD 300 salary, and police clearance. Fee is BHD 200 paid by employer, with approval in 7 days. Worker receives e-visa for entry within 90 days.
