Someone who is reliable, hands-on, and takes pride in maintaining equipment to a high standard and keeping operations running smoothly.This role offers a strong opportunity to contribute meaningfully within the organisation by ensuring that critical plant and fleet assets are safe, reliable, and ready to support frontline services. The role not only develops technical expertise through diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance, but also builds collaboration skills through interaction with internal teams, contractors, and the public.Key responsibilities include but not limited to:Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issuesConduct repairs aiming for maximum reliabilityTroubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely mannerPerform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systemsProvide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle usersManage and deliver efficient and positive services delivery that enhances the overall repairs and maintenance experienceDeliver pro-active and efficient scheduled maintenance programs for all mobile assets in accordance with GMCT schedulingTo be successful in this position you will require:Tertiary qualification as an auto technicianDemonstrated experience in the repair and servicing of multiple types of machinery, plant and vehiclesDemonstrated high level of time managementAbility to work autonomously in a highly efficient mannerCurrent Driver’s license (mandatory)Excavator/Backhoe License (desirable)Medium Rigid Driver’s license manual preferable (desirable)A career with us:Our people are our most valued asset - we understand the importance of providing a rewarding, inclusive and supportive work environment where all people are empowered to bring their best selves.We offer: Comprehensive induction program Two RDO’s (Rostered days Off) per month Fantastic Training and Development opportunities Free onsite car parking A collaborative team that fosters growth and innovation Employee Assistance Program to support our employees and their family’s overall wellbeingHow to apply:Please ensure you include a cover letter as part of your application.
