The role also contributes to the development of learning resources, industry engagement, and continuous improvement, ensuring all delivery aligns with regulatory, quality and compliance requirements.What You'll DoPlan, prepare, deliver and assess plumbing training aligned to accredited programsCreate safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments using diverse teaching strategiesSupport student learning, engagement and wellbeing, including learning plans and adjustmentsDevelop and maintain high-quality teaching and assessment resourcesMaintain accurate student records, attendance, progress and compliance documentationParticipate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activitiesEngage with industry and maintain vocational currencyProvide basic pastoral care, student support and referrals where requiredParticipate in student selection, orientation and induction activitiesContribute to team meetings and collaborative program deliveryEssentialWhat You'll BringRelevant vocational qualifications and current industry experience in PlumbingDemonstrated commitment to learner-centred teaching practicesSound understanding of VET quality, compliance and regulatory requirementsStrong communication, interpersonal and organisational skillsDesirableExperience teaching or assessing in a VET environmentExperience working with diverse learner cohortsKnowledge of current issues and trends in vocational education and trainingQualifications & Mandatory ChecksAppointment to this position is subject to meeting the qualification requirements (where applicable) and the successful completion of all mandatory employment checks.QualificationsTo be considered for this role, applicants must meet the qualification requirements under the Victorian TAFE Teaching Staff Agreement and relevant regulatory standards.This Includes Relevant vocational qualifications and current industry experience in the discipline area, andOne of the following:Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116), orA Diploma or higher qualification in Adult Education or Vocational Education and TrainingApplicants who hold secondary teaching qualifications with relevant VET skill sets are also encouraged to apply.Mandatory ChecksAppointment to this position issubject to the successful completion of all mandatory employment checks.You Must Hold, Or Be Eligible To ObtainA valid Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee)A National Police CheckHow To ApplyClick Apply to submit your application through Melbourne Polytechnicโ€™s careers portal.
