As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), there is no federal minimum wage for plumbers in the private sector as of 2026. Employers sponsor foreign plumbers by applying for a 60-day entry permit via MOHRE for 100 AED. The residence visa is then issued for 2 years with employer payment of 200 AED quota fee.
Q What qualifications and experience are needed for plumber jobs in UAE?
MOHRE requires no formal degree but a minimum of 2 years practical experience in plumbing and an attested vocational training certificate from the applicant's home country labor ministry.
