Nepali Security Guard (Private Household)

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), the minimum basic salary for security guards under Wage Protection System is AED 2,000 per month excluding accommodation and food allowances as of January 2026. Overtime pay is calculated at 125% of hourly rate, minimum AED 25 per hour for first 2 hours. Employers must pay via WPS by the 15th of each month.

Foreigners need an employer-sponsored employment residence visa valid for 2 years, renewable, costing the employer AED 3,000-5,000 including medical test and Emirates ID as of 2026. Requirements include job offer approved by MOHRE, passport valid 6 months, and Level 2+ medical fitness certificate. Processing takes 5-10 working days after MOHRE work permit approval.

Candidates must be 21-50 years old, hold high school diploma or equivalent, and have at least 1 year security experience as of 2026. Complete SIRA Basic Security Training Course (40 hours, AED 750 fee) and pass background check. No criminal record required per SIRA standards.

Submit passport copy, 6 photos, attested educational certificates, and experience letters to employer; employer applies for work permit via MOHRE portal (AED 250 fee, 2 days processing) as of 2026. Follow with status change visa if on visit visa (AED 500). Medical exam and biometrics for Emirates ID (AED 370) complete the process.
