As per the Public Authority for Manpower, the minimum salary for unskilled packing workers (skill level 3) is 125 KWD per month as of January 2026, excluding accommodation and transport allowances which add 50-70 KWD. Overtime pay is 1.25 times the hourly rate for hours exceeding 8 per day. Contracts must specify this minimum to comply with Labor Law No. 6 of 2010.

International workers require an Article 18 work visa sponsored by a Kuwaiti employer, processed via the Public Authority for Manpower with a fee of 10 KWD and medical fitness certificate. Visa validity is 3 years renewable, requiring a job offer from a PAM-licensed company. Processing takes 2-4 weeks after document submission.

No formal education or degree is required for unskilled packing roles; a high school certificate is sufficient but not mandatory as per PAM guidelines for skill level 3 jobs. Up to 1 year of warehouse experience is preferred but not essential for hiring. Employers must verify age over 21 years via Civil ID equivalent.

Applicants need a valid passport (minimum 6 months validity), attested academic certificates if any, medical fitness report from approved clinics costing 20 KWD, and police clearance. Submit via PAM-approved recruitment offices with a 5 KWD processing fee. Full attestation from Indian/Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs takes 10 days.
